During the press conference at the building site on 19.06.2010, the Managing Director Michael U. Tockweiler presented to the journalist and to numerous representatives of the city Coburg the engineering office, Matuszek & Partner, who took over the project management and the construction supervision. The shell construction will be implemented by GP Papenburg GmbH from Berlin.
The foundation work is nearly finished. Momentarily the last floor slabs are being poured. The protective layer is finished and 70% of the base surface is accomplished. Earthworks are almost done. It is planned to concrete the elevator cores and build the walls in the middle of June 2010. Reinforced concrete will be used. The building will then visibly grow. The roof of the hall will be covered with a metal skin; the hall receives glazing all around the building. Momentarily 25% of the shell construction work is achieved.
"The construction of sports facilities is still our core task" We strengthened our position with the acquisition of FCI Facility management Concept GmbH. Now we are able to manage our PPP projects with our own company. With the new ball sports hall Coburg will have an architectural piece of jewelry", said Tockweiler.
Following the press conference the participants had the opportunity to inspect the building site and could see for themselves the construction progress.
